Florida was founded in 1977 in Valencia (Spain). It is a cooperative group that deals with all levels of education, ranging from kindergarten through secondary and university studies all the way through to senior learning.

Florida has been involved in a wide range of activities involving cooperation at local level, with local administrations, local development agencies, local associations of SMEs and cooperatives; and similar organisations at regional, national and international level, including a large number of EU funded projects, both as project promoters and participants, focussing especially on the uses of ICT in education, among other subjects such as entrepreneurship, innovation, tourism, etc.

FLORIDA Universitària is affiliated to both the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. It is a dynamic and innovative centre, which promotes the development of entrepreneurial attitudes among its students with the object of facilitating their integration into the professional world. Furthermore, it is focused on the creation of knowledge by bridging theory and practice and also, on cooperative enterprising.


Space is a European network of Higher Education institutions founded in Lille (France) in 1989. It is composed of more than 90 institutions in 30 countries from both the 'old' and emerging new Europe. Not only European Union member countries are represented in the network but also, EFTA countries and candidates to the EU. What´s more, SPACE has strong links with HE institutions in countries such as Russia, United Arab Emirates or the USA.

SPACE deals with Business (in its many forms), Language and Intercultural Communication, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality & Tourism Management – for lecturers and professors interested in mobility and professional development, and for international office staff and management staff seeking inspiration and enthusiasm. All this work focuses on Bachelor and Masters Education as the network´s basis for membership.

SPACE´s main objectives are on the one hand, promoting quality in education and on the other, the commitment to research in tourism, business, entrepreneurship, cross-cultural and languages studies. And although the remit of the network has widened to develop European and global co-operation in the above areas, its motto remains the same: Learning by Sharing.


ULYSSES Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, a global network with headquarters in Madrid (Spain), with members and activities in all five continents; the Ulysses Foundation focuses its mission on knowledge management programmes and activities relating to tourism as an instrument for development.

The Ulysses Foundation is entrusted with the organization of the Ulysses Prize and Awards, a global initiative to recognize and disseminate excellence in tourism knowledge management. It also organizes Ulysses Forums —a world class series of events where academicians, practitioners, entrepreneurs, and government officials meet to discuss advancements in tourism theory, management, and governance, and to facilitate their application in the real world. The Foundation also offers its capacities (and those of its members) to governments, private institutions and civil society organizations worldwide in all matters concerning the transfer of knowledge for tourism strategy, policy and governance, positioning and marketing, product development, environmental conservation, and communication.

The members share the idea of tourism as a subtle but effective instrument, engaging the power of knowledge and science to contribute to the overarching goals of the 21st century: Development, Sustainability and Governance.
